Do we need a local entity to sell into Slovakia or the Czech Republic?

Not necessarily. Where a producer is not established in the country, the obligation is usually met through an authorised representative established locally. That is one of the roles we provide.

Are Slovak and Czech EPR obligations the same?

No. The registers, competent authorities, reporting formats and even the product streams differ. Non-packaging products, for example, are a distinct obligated stream in Slovakia but not in the Czech Republic.

Which product streams do you cover?

Packaging, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE / WEEE) and batteries in both markets, and non-packaging products in Slovakia only. Each stream has its own registration and reporting logic.

Is EPR Entry a law firm?

No. We are a compliance provider. We handle registrations, representation, records and reporting as an operational service, and we say when a specialist legal opinion is needed.

Most EPR failures are administrative, not legal. Somebody has to own the registration, the monthly records and the reporting deadline. That ownership is the service.

Product streams

Obligations follow the product, not the company

We cover packaging, electrical and electronic equipment, and batteries in both markets, plus non-packaging products in Slovakia. Requirements differ by product stream, and one product can fall into more than one stream.

Packaging

Packaging supplied to the Slovak or Czech market, including sales, grouped, transport, e-commerce and service packaging, with EPR obligations assessed under PPWR and the applicable national rules.

Electrical & Electronic Equipment

Electrical and electronic equipment supplied to the Slovak or Czech market, with producer obligations covering registration and, as applicable, take-back, collection, treatment, records and reporting under the relevant EEE/WEEE rules.

Batteries

Portable, SLI, light means of transport (LMT), electric-vehicle and industrial batteries supplied to the Slovak or Czech market, including batteries incorporated into products.

Non-packaging Products

Slovakia only

A Slovakia-only EPR stream for defined non-packaging products made from specified plastics, paper and cardboard, and glass, where the resulting waste forms part of municipal waste.
