EPR Assessment

A structured review of your products, sales model and target markets that establishes which EPR and product-compliance duties actually apply to your company.

What this service is

An EPR assessment establishes which producer obligations, product streams and national compliance routes are relevant before registrations or compliance arrangements are put in place. We map what you place on the market, how it reaches the customer and under which role you act, and then translate that into a concrete list of obligations per country and product stream.

The output is a written overview you can circulate internally: applicable duties, who is responsible for them, what has to be registered, what has to be reported and what is out of scope.

The assessment is based on the product, packaging, sales-channel and market information provided by the client. Complete and accurate input data are necessary for a reliable scope.

The assessment is an operational EPR and product-compliance review. Where a question requires specialist legal interpretation or a formal legal opinion, we identify that separately.

EPR Entry is the commercial coordination platform. Any subsequent compliance service is delivered by the national provider responsible for the relevant market.

Who needs it

  • Manufacturers and brands entering the Slovak or Czech market for the first time
  • E-commerce sellers and marketplace merchants shipping to Slovakia or the Czech Republic
  • Importers and distributors who are unsure whether they are the obliged producer
  • Companies that already sell in these markets and need to verify their current setup

What we do

  • Review the markets concerned and the relevant product streams, including packaging, EEE/WEEE, batteries and — for Slovakia — non-packaging products
  • Determine producer status for each relevant product stream and market, taking account of the company’s role in the supply chain, sales model and cross-border supply route
  • Assess the foreign / distance-selling position and identify where an authorised representative is required
  • Identify the applicable registration route per country and stream
  • Distinguish collective fulfilment from permitted individual fulfilment routes where relevant
  • List the registrations, records, reporting cycles and data requirements that follow from the above
  • Flag related EU product-compliance topics such as conformity documentation, PPWR or the Battery Regulation
  • Outline the practical next compliance steps

How it works

  1. 01

    Intake

You share your product categories, packaging types, sales channels and target markets through a short structured brief.

  2. 02

    Analysis

We assess each product stream per country and clarify open points with you directly rather than by assumption.

  3. 03

    Assessment report

You receive a written overview of applicable obligations, responsible parties and the practical next steps.

  4. 04

    Decision

You decide what to handle internally and what to delegate. We can implement registrations and representation from there.

Slovakia and the Czech Republic are assessed separately

Although both markets implement the same EU framework, the national definitions of a producer, the registration routes, the reporting formats and the treatment of distance sellers differ. Non-packaging products are a Slovak-specific stream with no Czech equivalent.

For that reason every assessment produces a per-country result rather than a single regional answer.
